The 330 Standard Tractor had a 21-inch crop clearance, handled all-around farming work. It delivered ample drawbar power to pull two 12-inch plow bottoms, to handle a 6-foot double-action disk harrow, or to operate a 7-foot mower. Very few 430 Utility John Deere tractors wearing the red and silver colors were produced. The red painted tractors were produced primarily for state highway departments and used for mowing. The 430 Utility tractor had an exceptionally wide ragne of usefulness on any farm, large or small. Its clean, low silhouette and ease of handling made it especially adaptable for work in orchards, citrus groves, vineyards and on general farms anywhere that ground-hugging stability and quick maneuverability were essential.
